Olly Murs’ album ‘Right Place, Right Time’ was released during late November 2012, it uses both photography and graphics to create the cover; a plain blue background makes the text stand out. The white text in different types of fonts helps give the cover some depth, allowing the black text to stand out to capture attention.  Having the artist stood in the centre of the cover was very popular, various musicians had themselves stood or sat somewhere on the album.

In his deluxe album the theme was changed, but again using different colours to capture people’s attention. He changed the blue background to white, the white text to black text and used red, bold lettering in order to make them stand out.

In 2010 he had released his first album called ‘Olly Murs’ which was a way to get his name out there, however when he released ‘Right Place, Right Time’ which was his third album at that point, was compared to his previous album- released in 2011 named ‘In Case You Didn’t Know’ he ended up receiving a lot of criticism as it was said it sounded too similar to his last album, therefore people called it “predictable” and even went as far as saying it wasn’t memorable. Although it had received some criticism, a lot of fans called the artist’s music “catchy”.

After a week of the album’s release it got onto the top charts. One of his singles on the album ‘Troublemaker’ had the well-known American rapper Flo Rida, spent two weeks as number one on the UK top charts.
