Audrey Fall | Mitau Kodaline | In A Perfect World
As I’m doing photography I want to make a cover incorporating it in some way, so I am thinking of taking some photos of some landscape and then using things I’ve learned from the graphics side of things and somehow use that too.
So I’ve begun looking at a mixture of album covers that involve the kind of landscape shot I like. Even a few images that aren’t even album covers, just edited with some text over it.

Starset | Vessell 2.0 Starset | Vessells
I found some of the album covers that belong to the band Starset. A lot of their artwork used for the album has a landscape shot with some different shapes to add some surrealism to it and make it stand out a bit more, making it less plain.

Starset | Die For You Starset | Satellite
Starset have a similar colour palette throughout their art, the colours aren’t too bright or “in your face” which makes it pleasing to look at. They have a landscape shots of some mountains, a lake or an ocean and then have some sort of shape that gives off a mirror or glass effect and then have stars in the sky.
But that is their main theme; space or stars.

My Chemical Romance| Danger Days Muse| Black Holes & Revelations
The album cover “Black Holes & Revelations” is a easily recognised album as the artist who created the cover is Storm Thorgerson who has made several famous covers for bands such as Pink Floyd. Storm is notorious for out of the ordinary pieces of art, but are still popular nonetheless.
The album “Danger Days” is also quite popular as My Chemical Romance were a largely popular band up until 2013 as the band decided to go their separate ways. This is a famous cover of theirs, alongside their first album “The Black Parade” which had their most notorious song “Welcome To The Black Parade” which quickly became one of their most well known hits.

Jonas Blue | Alien Imagine Dragons | Night Visions
I really liked the look of the Jonas Blue cover as it has a mixture of pastel colours which compliment each other extremely well; once again, they aren’t big bold colours which are too harsh and too randomised, I personally think it’s quite upbeat and I think the cover compliments the song extremely well.
Imagine Dragons released “Night Visions” in 2012 which had their most recognised song “Radioactive” as a big fan of the group, I love the music they release and this album really kicked off upon its release. Their albums are usually quite different but usually have one thing the same in quite a few of their albums; the silhouette. There’s typically a landscape shot or some large space with the silhouette or a person walking, in the centre of the cover.
