Marcel Christ is a still life artist and a short film director based in Amsterdam. He has done some incredible pieces involving powder paint, before making his approach to this technique he studied both chemical engineering and photography.
The black background really helps capture just how vibrant the colours are and the mixture of colours combined creates this chaotically beautiful explosion.
He has also done some advertisement for several companies.
One that really caught my eye was a piece he did for Pepsi where he used powder paint in the image. In his usual style, he has a dark background and the vibrant pink to go with the can as it’s cherry flavoured.
Marcel doesn’t just work with powder paint, he has done many other incredible and interesting pieces with acrylic paint and other types of liquids.
