Christine McConnell is a photographer based in California who mainly does shoots with a 50’s feel to it.
In her piece “Self Portrait” she experimented with the cloning technique. The image is easy to the eye due to the use of pastel colours rather than big and bold colours. The way the other versions of herself are interacting with their environment gives the image that little extra depth to help make it believable, just like Daisuke Takakure.
Although she is known for her “pin-up” aesthetic, her talents don’t end at photography as she also has quite the reputation for her incredible cake creations. Another one of her many talents include creating the majority of the clothes used in her shoots and also styles the hair.
